ABOUT 8TH STATE HOT YOGA + FITNESS

8th State Hot Yoga + Fitness is Wisconsin’s  highest rated and most reviewed infrared hot yoga and mat Pilates studio.

We’re a fitness-focused hot yoga and mat Pilates experience that facilitates stillness and strength building for positive mental and physical growth.

Our purpose is to help our kinetic community reconnect with themselves, build self-belief and renew the confidence they approach life with.

OUR NAME

Our name, 8th State Hot Yoga + Fitness, relates to the eight limbs of yoga. The 8th limb, Samadhi, represents a state of bliss or enlightenment. 8th State Infrared Hot Yoga + Mat Pilates is a place for a new state of being found only within the walls of our studio. It’s a blend of athleticism and relaxation, stillness and strength, a state of pure bliss.

At a time when we are more connected with the world around us, we often find that we are disconnected from ourselves. 8th State is a destination for everyone who wants the time to reconnect with themselves. Nascent, for us is the art of continuously reinventing ourselves and moving towards our full potential.

We are a team of sociable and easygoing people who share a passion for yoga. We are welcoming and curious about those who enter our studios. At 8th State, we are cognizant of the emotional landscape around us and navigate with empathy. We are eager learners who adapt to make yoga as impactful as possible. Our vibrant energy coupled with a detail-oriented approach provides an upscale experience for customers.

KINETIC (full of life, spirit, energy or movement)

Our studios are open to anyone who enjoys yoga and likes to socialize with new people. We are for the fitness enthusiasts who take time for their physical and mental well-being. Our community is a kinetic tribe that follows expert instructions with enthusiasm. Their healthful choices extend beyond the body and mind. They are advocates of a holistically sustainable lifestyle.

“I have been practicing hot yoga since 2018. What started as a way to destress after challenging workdays at my corporate job in Human Resources Management turned into a passion for sharing the positive mind, body and soul benefits of movement with others. I earned my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification in Peru in 2020 and began teaching online to friends and family in April. On January 1, 2021 we opened 8th State Hot Yoga in Oconomowoc and I taught my first in person yoga class that day.

Since then, my passion for learning has led me to earn my 300 hour Yoga Teacher certificate and additional certifications in Yoga Sculpt, Children’s Yoga, Yin Yoga, Pranayama and Sound Healing. My favorite styles of yoga to teach are Yoga Sculpt, Vinyasa Flow and 26+2 Bikram. I can’t wait to help you deepen your practice and share the incredible experience of teaching yoga with you!”
